![]() The JudgeA Poem by Nautili![]() "Your gavel pounded it’s depression deep into the recesses of my soul."![]()
Your gavel pounded it’s depression deep into the recesses of my soul. I despised your haughty expression, your restrictive robe of black coal.
Your skewed accusations caught me off-guard; Your bias largely based on misinformation, and magic so molten fiery between us, quickly hardened, dented and marred.
Dumbfounded by your verbal attack, I realized it was knowledge that you lacked. Opening my mouth for my defense, The words floated and rose in the air, Unheard by your closed, intractable ear.
The air is stuffy, cramped and stale, like a room swirling with heavy cigar smoke. Judgment burns my eyes, turns my dreams pale, Makes my throat close and choke.
Desire to be in your presence mangled Under a judge’s harsh, unyielding hand. Emotions jarred and jangled, Render your verdict; I am not one of the damned.
I close the heavy wooden door, I will not be returning to your self-appointed courtroom anymore.
