Forbidden Love

Forbidden Love

A Poem by Nautili

Like a fly encircling  a dangling sticky tape,

             He flies around it, over and over.

So tempted to taste it's alluring sweetness.

                          Hesitantly..... he decides to land.

In silent anguish

              he tries to pull away from this trap;

                   Futile attempts to fly free.

Impending death of the life he once loved.

        How can one mistake be so costly?
