Magnum Opus

Magnum Opus

A Poem by Nautili

Do not tell me you love me
with an airy kiss placed
absentmindedly upon my brow,
as you leave to court the daylight;
frenetic attempts to fulfill
her capricious demands.
Kiss me fiercely, firmly upon parted lips,
as though you can not abide the absence between-
as though your profession, which insists
upon your committed attention,
( like a jealous lover desiring your capable touch )
can not compare with what awaits in the night,

Your hair caressed with cool, soothing fingers,
 your weary head warm upon my lap.

Quite intense.. This feels emotional ad romantic..Makes me think that the poet must be one passionate thinker.. Good read..
