Choices

Choices

A Poem by Kaylee Nicole
"

I think we've all been in a position where no matter what choice we make, the results aren't going to be pretty. Sometimes we have to choose between two things (or people) we love very much.

"

I’m no longer in control,

The choices are knocking on my skull.

Someone is always going to hurt,

I’m drowning in the desert.

I shouldn’t have to feel this way; I’m the guilty one,

Left to suffer what’s to come.

It’s not just my heart on the line,

Those I love are right behind.

I hold the knife,

The blade pierces one at a time.
