Howdy Folks,

Boy do I feel good today.... maybe it's because Spring is in the Air.... Or could be that I've had about a one hundred and forty pound weight lifted from my shoulders, either way......I have my friends from all over this big world.... Yep.... Life is good ..... Don't ya just wanna singgggggggg?

"Whoa-oa-oa! I feel good, I knew that I would now..... I feel Good, I knew that I would now. So Good, So Good,  Cause I got YOU!!!!!!!!!!"

DAMN!.... I think Kuntry just pulled a ham string......ouch, ouch, ouch.............................

Folks I was watching the B**b Tube yesterday when they had one of those Breaking news banners come across the bottom of the screen. Now at the time I didn't have a clue what it said because everyone knows that after forty us old folks need a little help when it comes to seeing small writing... A few minutes later it went over to the Local news........ Now I thought to myself.." this must really be something if they are interrupting Springer...... Nobody interrupts Springer without due cause..... Because everyone knows that little fella that walks around on his hands will haunt them if they do....."Come on admit it..... You know who i'm talking about don't ya???" 

Anyway.......The TV goes over to a reporter who is standing there just waiting to give us the scoop...... Turns out they had a Hostage situation and the Swat team was in route..... The reporter Lady said that She would tell us more info as it came in.....

So I went back to watching Springer.... You really have to be a lip reader to watch that show because the constant Bleeps drown out most of the dialog anyway...............Have ya ever noticed that This weeks Guest ,the Woman that's married to her Brothers Father, is also the same lady that was on it a month ago Pregnant with the neighbors dogs baby?... It do be confusing at times...................

A few minutes later, right when Springer was getting to the good part, if there is a GOOD part, it switched back over to the news.....

GOOD! I've been waiting to see what was going on.......... That reporter lady was still standing in the same spot just waiting to give all of Mississippi the scoop............

After she informed us that the Swat team had arrived the camera pans over to about 30 police cars..... It looked like every Law enforcement officer in the State was there....................

I'm thinking to myself...."Man this must be BIG!"

Turns out that this fella was a little pissed at the Old Lady so he decided that he would just get his gun and rid the earth of her ever nagging ways....... She managed to escape though and he was hold up inside his house with 30 or 40 Law men guns drawn just waiting to make their move..............

By now this had been going on for several hours.... The police was still trying to figure out just how they was gonna get this fella out.....

Now this next little piece of information struck me as kinda funny.........

The man was 94 years old........OMG!....... Can't ya just picture Granny running for her life with bullets flying.... I bet the wheels on her walker was burning rubber getting outta that house... Now come on.... How steady of an aim do ya think a 94 year old man can have???  

 While all them cops are trying to come up with a plan of attack, you can see them standing there with gas mask and such,it's taking forever... I'm about to lose it on my end. Come on..... I'm missing Springer.......Toss the fella some Geritol and lets get on with it............

Why don't they just wait for the fella to fall asleep???lol.... For Christ sakes he's 94 years old.... Pap's is gonna have to nap sometime ain't he.....

Well it all turned out for the best anyway because Paps gave up after a few more hours.

Are ya ready for this...............

He gave up because it was time to take his medication and it was in his wives purse, which she managed to grab while fleeing the scene on that smoking wheeled walker.........

Ain't life just plain Funny at times........

This is priceless! The dialogue isn't forced, it flows smoothly, the cuts to the reporting are spaced just right and it could be fiction or non-fiction, but always full of humor! I can hear that old lady's voice in my head, still! Barbara
