January Rain

January Rain

A Poem by The Kuks
"

Grace is beautiful this January.

"
A sheer of sun when darkness rains
Step into God's adventure train
When fear cripples the boldest smiles
When guilt paralyzes the purest mind

Turn to the rainfall from above
Soak in the waters of His love
When the chairs feel empty even when occupied
When the dances feel lifeless even when so alive

He holds your hand He holds it tight
Your fear it fled
He took it from you
Your guilt is gone
He did it for you
Your war is won
He fought it for you
Now death is dead
His gift is for you.
The dances and chairs
May seem to choke you
The darkest beasts
May all provoke you
But they won't win
Cause Christ is for you
Not cause you do right
Cause He adores you.

Your faults may gather
To drown you down deep
But He'll leave the ninety nine
For that one lost sheep

So get on God's adventure train
For that January rain
Let His Grace drain
All that winter pain
For you were lying in defeat
In the world's burning heat
Let His train relieve you
From walking miles with blistered feet.
