felt my fever spike as our eyes locked

we're best defined by this

exact fragile moment in time

formed by past chain reaction's

delivered storybook attestations

power of suggestive validation

rerouted your unwieldy intentions

future lies beneath tissue paper clouds

fragile as blown glass figurine promises

placed on dusty shelves waiting to be noticed

want to boogie woogie in your dark allure

be your personal one woman cabaret act

smoke and mirror you into submission

you've already whirled my head

a shade of primed persuasion

well before the augmentation

of a silver reverie of cigarette swirls

dangled shutters of licentious atmospherics

on the hoodwinks of your unholy glares

harbouring angelicism in a melody's upholstered

candy coat of impish coos and cackles

sultry octaves of abstinent restraint

almost nullify the need for eyes in your morose

aplomb's satin black reverberations

to the hushed chagrin of my mercurial pursuit

of well-rounded sensual attainment

from the delectation of your entertainment

want to be your delicate dish of appetite's savor

pour into me like a vintage Bordeaux's fragrance

a fragile inflammation that gets under your skin

spins the boundaries of lined defiance

crossing over into shooting range's aim

hits below the belt's blessed trespasses

angels humming a few bars of numbing wet whistles

banging on the door in the rise of elation's misdeeds

lightning rod smittenness extends a humid adamancy

rubbed in choreography attesting to the polish

in which you could marinate the culmination

of this night with those implied pantomime

fondles of the air in slender arms' satin-gloved sways

phases of illumination nestle like sweat in the dress

that wears skin's erogenous becoming when your legs

shimmy in taut rebellions echoing the lurid swoons

administering tickle torture to my inner ears

this charmed playpen of the lion's roaring den

three sheets to the winds of animalism's quenched cravings

be my Harvey Wallbanger and I'll intoxicate your every whimsy

well, Steve and Frieda, this poem is a melodic "cabaret" of dark!!! or is that a dark chardonay??? I can understand "Hoodwinks" if you are doing Harvey's, hell thats a recipe for lots of intoxicated whimsy, not to mention smitten adamancy.. is it possible you two have created the very first Cabaret of "Smitten Mirrored Illusioned Dark Wallbanger Whimsy"!!! The sign over the door says: "Beware All Who Enter Here- Hoodwinks Practiced!! Nothing Is Real"!!! (in the fine print is says: "You will leave erogenously different than when you came in. Guaranteed. Or Your Money Back).

Thank you Frieda, Steve, I was mesmerized by the flow between you, the musical cabaret and oh yes, the "Hoodwinks". Smoke and mirrors are so much fun when Harvey Wallbanger is around!!! ;0)

Haha I should start by pointing out that Frieda brought Harvey to the party, so that's on her ;) The story behind this one is quite interesting...it was inspired by the music, which she sent to me not realizing that I was listening to that very music the night before...in light of all the music that I could have been listening to on youtube, I think that was a sign that this one was meant to be written...your reviews are a blast as always my friend...so glad you enjoyed our latest little adventure :)

This almost sounded like you two were verbally sparring with each other in a contest of sorts to see who could play the alliteration, harmony, rhythm, and meter game. Haha That's how our collabs often unfold...I think we unconsciously challenge each other, not to 'top' each other, cuz that's not what we're about, but just to ratchet up the intensity with each successive contribution...more often than not, we're unsure as to where a piece is going to end, but ultimately they construct themselves...we've been collaborating for a long time now so instinct and spontaneity are big elements in our works now...so glad you enjoyed it my friend, your kind words mean the world, and I know that Frieda will feel the same :)
