Immensely appropriate title. I cannot express with words the extent to which I relate to this poem. Perhaps I must recommend a couple I've penned down myself - perhaps poetry is my instrument of expression. Although the poem in its entirety speaks perfection, the second and final stanza shine within the bubble of perfection. Amazing work. Thanks for the share.

I'm slowly but surely getting used to appreciating that fact, but it's always been easier for me to express negativity than positivity...I'm fighting through it though in an attempt to write something positive...I can't remember the last time I did...

Some say the more the merrier but in actual fact, you will find that your friends who have a lot only talk to a few, if that. Don't let it get you down. You are a very wordy poet - I have read a few before I signed up - and some will probably be jealous and not know what to say. I know you have me at a loss for words and if you ask Dale, that don't happen to often. :))

Thank you for the kind words Kayleigh :) You already know a good bit about me just from what you've said here, but there are things on my profile section as well that offer a bit of context as to where I'm coming from...I value my friends more than anything...it is a small group of people, and one very good friend, that convince me on a regular basis to stay, and it's their support that keeps me here...this poem in particular was really just a moment of depression, which passed once I wrote it down...thanks for taking an interest in my writing, I appreciate it very much :)

Steve, I can certainly relate to you on this one as I share some of the same concerns but I do enjoy writing and so I write and post and try to be humble and appreciative of those who visit my page. Well you know how I feel about your writing, Steveroo - you leave me speechless with each and every poem you write. Your knowledge of some things you write about are out of this world and I cannot say how jealous I am of how smart you are and some of the poems you come up with. I really do hope that one day I am as amazing as you and my work affects others like yours does mine.

We do have our moments where we feel we are not worth it or we can't write but don't let the lack of reviews get you down. You're so amazing, keep your chin up my sweet friend! xo

Hmmm.....yes, it's true there is a lot of poetry to read on this site and often I do not get to read all of it. I think most of us have that problem. There are simply not enough hours in the day. However, that is no reason to withhold your words. They are too good to stay aboard that ship in a bottle, my friend. Thank you my friend...this was not directed at my small group of friends, who are the only reason I'm here now, and you are on that short list :) It's about the culture of the site...the concept of friendship is very loose here, and I don't deal with that looseness well...I guess I was just thinking out loud when I wrote this one, and I had other things on my mind as well...but trust me, the support of my friends is all that matters, no matter how much whinging I do otherwise :)

Especially the ultra-sensitive ones like me...it shouldn't make a difference when you know who your real friends are, but it's nice to see names you've never seen before give you a comment that said they liked your stuff...that doesn't happen to me a whole lot.

damn i like this....i have felt like this speaker...having those few really close friends, yet being only one of many many friends that they have.
just one of the number...feels like we are not as special to them, as they to us.

I know you are love, I collect many of your reviews as you know, they're my inspirational fuel, and I do feel talented when talking to you...you'll always be a muse, and that snuffs out any of the disillusion I may be feeling when I write such pieces...having not slept much last night, today will likely be better, as I get increasingly giddy as the lack of sleep catches up ;P xo
