THE SWEETEST LITTLE SHOWER

Should our eyes meet
between the golden raindrops
of a Summer sun shower
would your hand's purified arc
grant my lips a taste of ginger
on the eve of offering a palm
glistening beneath a handful
of moistened flame?
Would the fire in your feet
stroke the sweet clash
of the elements?

Should I wish
the waltzing waft to life
please afford my green steps
a leeway of playful patience
saving some for catching
my hypnosis swimming
in your wet face

There was a thought of
asking you to be my umbrella
then it melted

not in the sun
not in the shower

in the feral grandeur of your marigold prance

Umbrellas provide protection from the rain, and so when I read that last line, I said "yes!" out loud, because marigolds need the rain. This has to be my most favorite from you ever.

Aaaah what a tempting write for/to Frieda. She inspires doesn't she.. I thought you begin this poem in a most tender way:
"Should our eyes meet

But the whole poem is uniquely you even as you weave a few of the words from Frieda's poem and draw the "sweetest shower" and marigold prance... cool poem, it went in my favorites

Sweet, tender, inquiries from a hesitant heart. I really like this.. I would have to say my favorite lines are "Should I wish/ the waltzing waft to life/please afford my green steps/a leeway of playful patience".... This is such hopeful trepidation.. The flow is amazing, the tone so gentle, softhearted, romantic.... I have to agree with my girl--this made my heart flutter just a little...
