I would have a hard time highlighting any one section of this very fine poem. I enjoyed the "penthouse of summer", the "fishing in our lake of memories", and the "tear-fueled watermill" segments the most.
Overall, I felt like I could hear a voice mournful with the knowledge of the good and the sorrow. Accepting what is and thankful for what was, still willing to see what could become.
Beautifully penned Khan!
I am so glad you stopped by my page and reminded me, by your presence, to look in on your fine work.

It's a cycle we must endure once the window is opened..
Memories can bring tears, but they can also allow us to heal.
I felt this one to the core, my dear friend...
It saddens me, but I am honoured to read your well expressed verse.
A Heartfelt write, Stevie!~xoxo~

You're very welcome, Mr. Steve, the pleasure was all mine! :))
This was a strikingly original poem, it was equally ornamental and philosophical for me.

You should, let me know if you make an E-book or some such thing, I'd buy it.
I love the way you use nature and the seasons to mirror feelings. you've done a masterful job in this. I feel the loss and the searching. Frieda is right is aches with loss. I was particularly struck by this stanza:
Time I waste
in a quest to pinpoint
a moment that emblazoned
her hiatus
When did it change, how did I not know? Sometimes we ask questions we will never get the answers we want or think we need. I hope the cycle of seasons bring vibrancy and color back into your world and that you are able to see it. Great poem.

We may like some more than others, but there is a measure of comfort in every one. It may snow, it may rain, but we know the Sun is there. I'm happy that you were able to derive those sentiments from this piece...this piece is probably quintessential me. Thank you my friend.
Sigh, sigh, sigh. Brings tears to my eyes and tugs at the heart Benji, what can I say? This is a tower of poetry, achingly haunting.
"Well my friends are gone and my hair is grey, I ache in the places where I used to play"....you've left me speechless and breathless. xo

I hold this one close to the heart so it means a lot to know it touches you on that level...the writing of this piece was augmented by my fair share of sighs as well, and maybe a few tears as well. So glad you like it. xo
Sighhhh, not sigh for the words but sigh for the feeling. Drowning .. But looking up hoping to see a hand reaching for you but it's not coming hope it's still not coming..

there are some exquisite pictures of emotion in this piece. I read it more than once just to capture it all. I found it a truly remarkable expression of loss.

Thanks so much lynn, it means a lot to know my words can have that effect.
Sigh....there's a loss here. Not a permanent one though? Hiatus is what makes me think that. "..her presence endures..." Even in a persons absence they can be felt. Wonderful poem Steve.
