A LOVE LETTER FROM A FAILED GENERATOR

A LOVE LETTER FROM A FAILED GENERATOR

A Poem by kublakhan27
"

I.

Inside a meltdown
of aggrieved metaphors
we met and made the best
of icy memories

You were the apex
of a sullen candle wick's
heated umbrella
passing for protection
from the typhoon
of toxicity corroding
the artificial lights
I resorted to in search
of happiness

II.

Sickened by the cynicism
I could never conquer
without aid
the shrill wheeze
in my lungs stabbed
the air of my resigned
ignition like an acid
rain-rusted fork

Prongs of erosion
incinerated the dimensions
of my Great Pretender mask

I was open to the prospect
of a meltdown

III.

A power outage smirked
on the verge of threatening
my need for Winter white
to blind the pile-up of humid
months eroding my incentive
for an age's elevation

Then you came
puncturing the black aura
I was all too ready to adopt

I am already obligated to
the grey threshold
it would appear
yet the parasol of your
embrace stifled my
corrosion of closure like
the blinders of a race horse

Simply through your place
in my obstructed vision's show
you have won me
until I realize I'm out of candles
and the metaphors incline me
to reach around until I clutch
your heated cage of
nightvision

It took every ounce of my creative willpower to get this out. An abundance of things to say in recent weeks, but no words. Anyways I'll resist the urge to milk my self-pity any further.

I wholeheartedly agree with Pax. I too experience this: whenever I read your words, I'm in a completely different world and sense things that can't be perceived in reality. Your poetry is very deep, beautiful, and uniquely crafted with a fine mastery of language. Bravo, once again!

Hey my friend, every time I read one of your piece... it is always a mind blowing event to me. Perhaps it’s the rich metaphors or the wide range of your vocabulary or the overflowing of your imagery... with all that it combines a really good mix of profound poetry and emotional journey. Amazing work.

You've crafted quite a piece here... your metaphors are rich, and have a get balance of complexity and directness, which keeps them reachable to the reader. Amazing write.

Thanks so much my friend, I always appreciate your kind words.
part two is especially visceral, profound and raw to me. This doesn't breathe. It seethes. It churns. some poems sing, some snarl and some have that guttural scream. this is a stellar mix of scream and snarl.

the reflective type of light that flickers against spilled guts, and we as writers have to remark on your blinded stallions running in the spark fields of this tumble weed angle. There's a circular drive leading this piece to water to drink from and I never dive to far in for fear of drowning in these inkling of phylum for such tears are rip tide of oh....mmmmm...-currents ...amazing piece

My dear,

Your stunning write in rich metaphors, reaches me deep, there is so much to say about this one, it is an endless thought, with side-ways, and holes and corners, where you can fall, or you may encounter... Yes, also here I can say to you, Hello Darkness, old friend... to embrace it and be aware of it, is just master, you do that so well. You're not afraid of your most dark and depressed feelings, they bring you pure art, as here... This is no self-pity at all, it's just creative what comes out of you in these darker times. The imagery is rich, and sometimes, out of the world. The pain is felt in this one, but there is some positivm always too, those who have nightvisions, have light and a survivor's heart...
You're ever so brilliant in your wordings. I'm happy I am a part of your life.

Beautiful Steve,
Sweet Bro,

May the luck, and happiness come soon,
For You're never alone sweet Bro. X

"Sickened the the cynicism"...by the cynicism, perhaps?

Always such a thrilling endeavor to open one of your pieces, Steven. I can't begin to describe the things your writes do to me. I am always on the cusp of dazzling intellect surrounded by awkward sexuality hanging on for dear life by the skin of my grinding teeth. You give the best ink. And that ain't lip service, kid...although, should you ever need some... ;-)

Seems like a lot of introspection and soul searching here. Agitation and tumult in life expressed very well with metaphor and imagery. Vestiges of emotional pain and traces of inner demons between the lines. I think there is a lot to ponder in this one....and since I don't know you personally, it is difficult for me to figure out exactly what you are resolving. I do know this is well written...and obviously something you needed to write for personal reasons. Lydi**

What you write resonates in my heart, soul, and mind... all which fail to connect on dismal days such as this...

of happiness"~ This part really struck a cord with me..... I'm always searching, and sometimes we have to create our own light...artificial as it may be, it's better to reach for the light than being alone and depressed in the dark.

Well penned!...I enjoyed reading your abstract art!~xoxo~:)
