TOMORROW MAYBE FOR THE MOON

TOMORROW MAYBE FOR THE MOON

A Poem by kublakhan27
"

"
The powder blue of morning
was somewhat uplifting

The caloric sun made marvelous
use of the clouds'
incompatible design and
hurled at the flimsy white
patchwork its essence of
illumined effervescence

And the dawn came down
like a comb on the frizz
of the wind-tickled brook
spreading Lilliputan shambles of
fluorescent marbles
like dandruff flakes shaken
off the shoulders of the sun

More uplifting was
the blue July's selling out
to evening cloud cover
regrouped and not to be
outdone or outshone
by the tambourine moon man's
after-hours entertainment

Little time was spared in
the clamping of empowered fluff
onto the betrayed scenery below

Somewhere up there was Apollo
choking on a rust tint
retching on the hapless scenery
smarting yet from the blue betrayal

And an orange stress ball
was hurled over a disgusted shoulder
for an aimless stroll around
the sky's newly-minted mattress

Let the moon man march
to his own nocturnal beat
like his telescopic throng of stalkers
Let them just forget about
today until tomorrow when
the sun regroups and may be
seeking out a rhythm for
a taking of the blue

An almost surrealistic portrayal! I glean from this you are saying we are but specks in the universe. We can never do or create what the moon, the sun, the stars create on a daily basis. We are impotent compared to the magnificence of their accomplishments. I think you can juggle adjectives better than most and the imagery they create is incredible. I could almost see people following the moon across the universe....doing his bidding. The sun is bright and shining and people think all light originates with the sun, but you are pointing out the moon has his own brand of light. You pack so much into every one of your poems. I feel I could study one of them for months and not garner all you meant to say. Excellent work, Kubla. Lydi**

I found this one pretty interesting, it's like you just paint a really awesome scene with your words. I took them literally, because sometimes I just have a hard time searching for the deeper meanings, but on that note! Just wanted to say that I found the ending very hilarious and this piece amusing. Thanks again for being awesome :)

Your mind does range a myriad of images through a kaleidoscope of thoughts and place upon the paper true poetic inspiration. Weather the weather be miracle or science you have made it art. Tom

This is - unusual - in that you are saying the simplest of miracles here on Earth far outweigh the scientific achievements of man. At least - that is what I am reading into this.

And - perhaps you are right. We call things miracles quite simply because we - as a human species - are incapable of reproducing or in many cases even fathoming what it is that has taken place.

Some of the greatest miracles do in fact come in very small amounts. Clearly - it will take us a lifetime and then some to discover them all ... :)

I have friends who like him so I was quite possibly influenced by him through them :P
For me the moon has it's own nocturnal beat, unlike Time ticking away into another wasted day...
this is a new kind of blue (My optimistic point of view sees this as "hopeful and recharging") waiting for tomorrow...

"Let the moon man march
to his own nocturnal beat
like his telescopic throng of stalkers
Let them just forget about
today until tomorrow when
the sun regroups and may be
seeking out a rhythm for
a taking of the blue"

~ I enjoyed the kaleidoscope of thoughts in which you have painted in my mind...
Well penned, sweet poet!~xoxo~:)

I really love this.. I think it's perhaps the best piece of yours to date. Your imagery is outstanding.

And the dawn came down
like a comb on the frizz
of the wind-tickled brook

Let the moon man march
to his own nocturnal beat
like his telescopic throng of stalkers

Those are two of my favorite images. Such amazing work! Definitely a new favorite!
