ROBIN

ROBIN

A Poem by kublakhan27
"

10 28 10

"
Eyes of unruly fire
summoned by an agency
insistent on the discipline of shadows
summoned to unleash infernos
of femininity
on the black-sheep magic
of her ancestors

Pupil erector of air stakes
rigid and consuming enough
to be branded tendencies of defence
against the credos of her hunter's company
the Coven decimators

A craft user
tagged as a runner in an arms race
only to be thrown away
as the finish line

Has anybody
some awakened maverick perhaps
zigzagged the pileup of principles
to decipher an embattled girl
maybe even lonely?
between the steel barrels in their hands
and the glass barrels on her face

Decided to put this one up for my friend Pax, who may be the only one in these parts who knows the true context of it haha It's based on the central character of an anime called Witch Hunter Robin...I've been sitting on it for quite some time, even though it's a personal favourite, as I'm not sure how accessible it is to those unfamiliar with the character, but perhaps there is still enough of a story in here to stir up one's imagination. I try not to make a habit of falling in love with fictional characters but I love this girl to death...

The avatar comes from the show's intro but was redrawn and recoloured by me.

I'm not a gamer, and I don't have a clue what anime is about. I do appreciate your creativity though

Quite the write. Glad for the context. I thought this might have been about some ex-girlfriend.

Thank you Kenneth, I'm glad you like it.
although i am not familiar with this game nor anime (i'm a Sims 2 gamer) myself...however this is an amazing write, enriched with emotive imagery of this character, loneliness, despair and the uncertainty of her fate. not to mention your unique choice of words and the fluidity of this poem. thanks for sharing :))
