Eyes of unruly fire summoned by an agency insistent on the discipline of shadows summoned to unleash infernos of femininity on the black-sheep magic of her ancestors
Pupil erector of air stakes rigid and consuming enough to be branded tendencies of defence against the credos of her hunter's company the Coven decimators
A craft user tagged as a runner in an arms race only to be thrown away as the finish line
Has anybody some awakened maverick perhaps zigzagged the pileup of principles to decipher an embattled girl maybe even lonely? between the steel barrels in their hands and the glass barrels on her face
Decided to put this one up for my friend Pax, who may be the only one in these parts who knows the true context of it haha It's based on the central character of an anime called Witch Hunter Robin...I've been sitting on it for quite some time, even though it's a personal favourite, as I'm not sure how accessible it is to those unfamiliar with the character, but perhaps there is still enough of a story in here to stir up one's imagination. I try not to make a habit of falling in love with fictional characters but I love this girl to death...
The avatar comes from the show's intro but was redrawn and recoloured by me.

Hmm ... This is almost cryptical to read since I'm not familiar with Robin the Witch Hunter. I thought her name was Gretel or is that a different story ? :)
Can only find one slight correction HERE,
"A craft user tagged as a runner in an arms race only to be thrown away [as/at] the finish line."

I love this poem - and understand not a word of it, Kube! Before I read your footnote, at one point - but not for long - I thought you were talking about the Statue of Liberty and the grand old US of A!!! Only a Brit could voice such irreverence! Very enigmatic, my friend. P.

was drawn to this write by the title, you see, Robin was my second wife..and one of the loves of my life. this poem is almost as embroiled in acidic language as she was, beautiful and strikingly intelligent, though a bane to her own peace and existence. some people, we never fall out of love with...count Robin among those...awesome write, khan...you have done it again....

I, personally, don't know anything about the girl in question, but the piece is pretty powerful. The references to Witch craft were...bewitching ;-) I liked this, and I'm glad you posted it. It could be about whomever the reader imagines it, really. Good one, k.

A lot of people think he's a sloppy writer which I never understood...I mean, he must be doing something right for the series to endure as long as it has haha I get the impression that he's more about characters than plot though...

I love his ability to make his characters to defer from the main plot of the story but how he can reconnect it all at a later stage.. somethings surprise you and for an anime to do that it's pretty cool.
Holy Bill of Rights, Batman! Okay that's the only Robin I know....but your poetry is intriguing nonetheless, who could resist
'glass barrels on her face''? :-)
