I took the liberty of slurping up
the quiver on your gloriously clammy shoulder
My tongue was on the way there anyway
to quell the quarantine of shared sweat
handed down by my failing air conditioner
(I may have to remind myself
to chew on my next french fry)
No adnauseating hum will tamper
with the beat of our dramatic hips
smacking like exhausted blackboard brushes
in the airy aftermath of schoolyard bustle
Three o' clock sun ignites unprecedented hustle
in recalcitrant schoolboys blanketed
in discipline's dust cloud
Rain some lecture on me if you must
I'll lay out my stomach to put on your pelts
of vocal torrents and unearth my goosebumps
to bloom like fiddleheads of education
Never has a lonely syllable felt
more aware of the melodic subject
of predicated guardian angels

Hmm.. think! think! think! Okay I'm thinking there is raw passion in there. Untamable passion. Furry skin to be laid on your stomach? Ha! Barbarically gorgeous! Those words are insane but gorgeous at the same time, made me think of Tarzan and Cleopatra fornicating at the conference hall of the White House. If you find this offensive, you're free to delete the comment but it's what came to me after reading the poem. Oh the mind..

Oh I'm not offended in the least lol :D I was certainly walking a tightrope between love and lust so to speak, or human exploration and animal instinct...I seem to walk a lot of tightropes come to think of it :P I wanted passion but I was trying to throw in as many various degrees as possible...I'm not sure if degrees is the right word for it but it's the best one I can come up with at the moment...scenarios maybe? Oh the mind...oh my mind lol

lol, so you have this obesessive eagerness of finding the perfect sexual accomplishment? Well, love and lust could work together, I think. But remember, some of the most beautiful things doesn't need to be searched for, they just happen when you least expect it. And yes the mind haha!

Haha yes, I'm very eager, markedly obsessive, and most likely playing a fool's game in the endeavor of hunting down what is probably an ideal. But I do agree whole-heartedly with everything you say. In fact, I do believe they bring out the best in each other. And true beauty certainly has a way of appearing when it's not being consciously sought out. Thankfully, I'm not so much of a fool that I've lost sight of that lol :)

the quiver on your gloriously clammy shoulder" - SO DELIGHTFUL!!!! This piece is so amazingly interlocked with words and sexuality! Yes, Rain some lecture on me! I love this phrase!! This has to be one of the most mind blogging pieces I have ever read! (I may have to remind myself
to chew on my next french fry)! I absolutely Love this line! You have a great talent for putting in a mixture of idea's and painting a poem that describes that of hunger, sexuality, and absolutely passion. And again, your creativity is off the charts with putting it all together :) Where do you find your muse?

:D I'm glad you like this one cuz it seems to be a somewhat polarizing piece...it probably does veer into the abstract in some places but every line was very carefully thought out before it made the final cut so to speak lol I'm actually a bit leery when it comes to the sexuality element cuz it is such a common theme, so I probably labour over those pieces more than most other themes in my efforts to make them unique :) My muse? She's gotten very good at hide-and-seek in recent months, metaphorically speaking that is lol The words have not been coming as frequently as they have at other points in time but one can one do? Willingness and inspiration usually don't come at the same time, not for me anyway lol :P But as I've said many times, your compliments definitely breed confidence and ensure that I'm not as creatively insecure as I've been in the past :)

Polarizing piece is a great way to describe!!! I can picture you thinking over this piece lol. But your sexual element comes out great, and with a taste that is like no other. I tend to also labor over these parts as well, and that's why I haven't posted my pieces with them in it yet. Well, regardless of your muse playing hide and seek, she is very good and playing with your words and coming up with fabulous pieces!!!

Haha well I have a habit of staring at a blank page for LONG periods of time...I'm an extremely slow and ponderous worker lol Funny thing though is that I think I might work a tick faster when I have a form in mind :P You should post some of those things sometime...my curiosity is piqued now :) I think I'll be trying a Halloween poem for a contest somewhere else so I need to start it soon cuz it might take that long for the muse to resurface lol

You crack me up! I have about a dozen pieces unfinished (well more probably) that I sit and look at and ponder over too... See we do have a lot in common!!! lol Maybe we really are kindred spirits!!! So abstract... I see your earlier work was more impressionism while this must surely document a move into the abstract. It seems done with palette knife or small wood chips. Each dipped in the bodily fluid of participants and flung on a canvas at odds with the limitations of nature in an ill-weathered environment. A collage of shredded vocabulary frames this peeked visage. Do I admire the view or the molding? I am in a quandary over it and pause to fetch briar pipe to mouth before consulting the Pocket Handbook of Small Mysteries.

If this be Picasso, I shudder at the coming Warhol.
