Author's Note

I wanted to steer clear of fanfiction on here because it's hasn't gone over as well here as elsewhere, but this has been pretty well-received on the other sites it's been on, so I figured I may as well try it here. The syrup content may be a bit overwhelming but I was going for lullaby simplicity.

For those unfamiliar with the music of "the ocarina," it is beautiful stuff and well worth looking up.

For those of you familiar with the Zelda games, Ocarina of Time in particular, this is meant to be "sung" to the tune of Epona's Song. I would have loved to throw in two or three extra syllables along the way but I didn't want to risk throwing off the rhythm, so here is what I'm pretty sure is a note-for-note accompaniment to what may be the most beautiful melody to emerge from the Ocarina.

Speak to me Epona
(Review for Change the World Competition) I really really like this, Not totally sure it hits the markers for what I wanted in this competition though. The craft is magnificent and the subject superb. Despite the beauty of this work though, I do not feel enough power to say that I have had insight to motivate change. It may just be that I have a phobia of horses though as I was thrown off in a donkey derby when I was 8, ha ha. I am glad you entered this though just so I got to read it. I am sure this will do incredible well in lots of other competitions.
