PAPER THAW

PAPER THAW

A Poem by kublakhan27
"

02 11 10

"
His hollow haunt lends the ear
a hushed symphony of icy chimes

The majesty of his mere presence
lends a ghost of melody
to living silence

The cool mayor
of his crystalline community
The throng of disco needles
sewn together in sublime audience

The powder blue beast
scales Beatle-white
caressing hide of flexing azure
defines his house
like an Arctic Cleopatra
waiting on the courtship of muses
with bouquets of grammar
and perfumes of ink

I do so love dragons.

You and your girlfriend make a good couple, artists two.

This piece is like a sliver of ice in a storm of thought and imagination. I like how you wove music into the expose of the Frost Dragon and spoke of his dominance within his icy realm. The reference to Cleopatra is also a plus for the nod to other mythologies, of which the Egpytians also had a serpent in theirs.

Not bad. Not bad at all.

But the dragon needs a name. That is my only suggestion.

Well done.

Nice I think it works very well with the pic and it also allows the mind to picture other pictures within pictures.

Thanks I'm glad you like it^^
I like the way you put a whip of modern terminology into a somewhat classical poetry. Like disco, Beatle-white, the cool mayor.. I found it contradicting yet a little too amusing.. It's like Cleopatra devouring a chicken burrito:)
