LITTLE BALLAD

LITTLE BALLAD

A Poem by kublakhan27

I thought I was a rover
No abode for me to claim
Every notion of romance
would only set my feet aflame

I looked for love in cities
bachelor apartments and backshifts
but customers and other halves
would freeze my heart like winter drifts

For many nights a look
into my mirror was a blur
She was in the loneliness behind the showers
My umbrella girl

Now the grey within my head
is held at bay by yellow glow
The sunlight of her golden heart
is home for all I need to know

No problem at all.
Wow! I love the tender passion in this piece. Spoken like a whisper, caressing like a sweet spring breeze! Fabulous!
