THE VOICE GIVEN OVER TO SOLILOQUY

THE VOICE GIVEN OVER TO SOLILOQUY

A Poem by kublakhan27
"

Blast from the past 01 20 02 Gyorgy Ligeti: Austrian composer

"
On this day
I may have said things
that incriminated me.

How may I not insinuate
bloatingly,
that the clouds-
sunbathing eight degrees above zero-
melted tonight
in the tectonic spark of my voiced
animosity ignition,
without fessing up
to detecting the strains
of an old dead friend
in a banshee choir's
steady Ligeti pitch,
high enough to haunt my head
and not natural enough
to debody me through the window.

Never mind:
lesson learned,
boundaries reinforced,
they will subside
so I can dissolve
in the protocol of the mute
and socially desolate.

Oh, those moments... most contentious - everything amp'd up - raw and ragged, earth shaking one moment then calm the next. Most unsettling prose.
