Homeless

Homeless

A Poem by Katie
"

Narrative poem on how much your life can change.

"
Her toes numb,
As she sat out in the cold.
Everyone told her she was dumb.
But you know she wasn't very old.

Her stomach growled.
She was so famished,
Feeling fowl.
Oh how she wished she could vanish.

The look on his face.
She knew it was love at first sight.
Look at this place.
This felt so right.

He changed her life.
They were going to get married.
She was going to be his wife,
Although there lifestyles varried.

Together they had a child.
He was perfect,
But oh boy, was he wild.
And for him they would protect.

So when they got old.
He got sick.
Death is what she was told.
And she was homesick.
