The ocean (despondent)

I am the ocean

A vast and empty land, submerged in darkness

My waves sway back and forth

Like captured, broken souls

I take hold of your ships, dragging them down into

My body

Now, they reside within this rough current, for their darkness fuels me.

My floor holds the lost, those which are quickly

Forgotten,

The truths of their existence have deteriorated over time

As they lay inside me forever waiting to see the sun.

All life lost,

All hope still clinging to a sunken bow,

Are covered by my cold, wet blanket,

Succumbed to their eternal rest.

So, I don't see the joy in losing hope or happiness, but it was depressingly wonderful! You really work hard on these. I can tell.
