Sister

This is a poem my mom wrote after her sister died.

I can’t wait until we met again

I do not fear

I do not care

Because I know you’ll be waiting there

Your smile will light my way

Sometimes I can’t wait for that day

But for now, I am here.

I miss you more each day

I’ve never felt so alone

You’re my half

My heart

I never thought we’d be apart

One day, sister when I am through

I know again I’ll be with you.
