Terrified Child

Terrified Child

A Poem by Krista

Feel like a terrified child,
with tears running down my face,
running from all my problems.
All that matters is that I run,
run from all that has happened.
Run fromt he memories,
run from what's giong on now.
Running like a little child,
who is scared.
A  child who wants to find a safe place,
a child who wants a safe place to lay her head at night,
without having to worry about memories that chase her.
The terrified child runs,
runs like a bird with a wounded leg,
running from one unsafe place to another,
havign no place safe to go.
She's scared of everything now,
scared to trust,
so she runs from her past and her future,
hoping someone will find her,
as she hurts and bleeds.

I like the repetitive use of run and running.
It gives a real feeling of action to the piece.
Very nice flow and rhythm.
Well done!
