A Second Chance

A Second Chance

A Poem by LivingHope.

You don't deserve

a second chance,

But I'm willing to try.

I'm being civil,

and remembering

the fun we used to have.

It's awkward at times,

to joke around,

as if nothing ever happened.

You're happy

that I'm talking,

and I guess I am too.

Maybe that's what

has been missing,

these last four months.

A friend

that I can get mad at,

and not talk to for days or months,

and then forgive later on.

I'm giving you that second chance.
