Cycle of Days

How to escape the mundane cycle of days, that solely exist so one can get paid? 

What makes it bearable, what do we miss, it surely can’t be solved by one measly kiss?

Is the void easily fixed by internal alterations? Or is it dependent on gaining another’s adorations? 

And then I realize I know the way, as the answer lies in the fact that Jesus paid. 

A partner can’t fulfill and their love cannot solve, just as any other placeholder will ultimately dissolve. 

It’s easy to forget we always have truth, and the way to let go of worldly proof. 

Grace and love are easily found, but only if we ask to be completely unbound. 

Separated from false hope and rescued from confusion, He alone can save us from our paltry illusions. 

Help me remember and never overlook, the reason for life as written in Your book.
