Remembering someone

In this darkness I remember you
The silence but for the chirp of the grasshopper
The moon shying away hiding behind the clouds
I look for the stars hoping to make a wish
U remember the time we walked on the broken bridge
U promised to not let go of me
A promise never kept
Why do I dig the grave u ask?
The past with all its memories buried in my heart
Has been unearthed in this night
We will never hold hands like that
Night on the bridge
We will never whisper under the trees again
Ur eyes wont smile at me again
