Be You, Be Me

Be You, Be Me

A Poem by ksbadyal
"

A kind of stream of conscious write. Doesn't flow incredibly well but it felt good to write it.

"

Brown paper bags

Over scared faces.

Are you who you

Thought you would be?

Life pixelated

My digital image

Digs yours.

Edit. Copy. Paste.

The cards are starting

To all look the same.

Did anyone shuffle?

Déjà vu.

Take the bag off

My eyes.

I want to see.

I want to be.

Shake these pixels off

My eyelashes like sleep.

Flesh and bone.

Old made new.

House of cards

Came tumbling down.

When we decided

To let me be me.

And you be you.
