Searching For the Spark

Searching For the Spark

A Poem by Kshitij Gupta
"

Third poem.

"
It all begins with a spark,
A spark that ignites the fire,
Fire that can light up a world so dark,
A world so dire.

Always been an average,
Seeking for the right passage in a world so savage,
The passage that leads to success,
Help  rise above the clouds,
 Clouds of laziness,
Clouds of selfishness.

Still searching for the spark,
The spark needed to make people proud,
Rise above the clouds and stand out in the crowd,
The spark that will ignite a fire,
Fire that will  light up a world so dark,
A world so dire.

Everybody struggles when ever they attempt something new. Poems appear easy to do and the easy ones are. But, like everything else in life quality presents itself! A good poem says here I am! We are going to help you get there.
A couple of pointers 1) try to avoid redundancy
2) try to use complete sentences
3) make it easy fore the reader to read and understand your poem
the reader is the final judge of our success or failure at our craft.

Powerful and good words in your poetry.
"Still searching for the spark,

Rise above the clouds and stand out in the crowd,

Fire that will light up a world so dark,
A world so dire. "
We need positive thoughts and sparks to ignite us to do great things. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

I really like this one, Kshitij. Very touching and painfully relatable. Perhaps mist/fog would fit better than clouds though--they might tie better with your repeated lines, as they keep the narrative voice and reader 'in the dark' trying to get out. The switch from 'a spark' to 'the spark' was a wonderful choice!

Nice work.. like the way the poem kind of trickles down and follows a pattern down. "It all begins with a spark, A spark that ignites the fire,
Fire that can light up a world so dark,
A world so dire. "

Very good work!

They say, "we all got the spark" . but sometimes we do catch ourselves wondering as to when are we going to discover that spark! I identify with it... you created a poem which was raw and emotive.
keep up the good work:)

You have taken a concept here and turned its exploration into verse which works nicely given that you are a new and young poet. Keep writing.
