"You, lying half naked in the afternoon
Black underwear and a cup of tea, do you
Walk to a window framed winter
And think of me?"
This stanza was very well-written. The title is very interesting. I had that happen to me once. I liked this guy who had a gf, but he would always look at me differently and always talked to me and even when he was with her he would stare at me strangely and I always knew he was thinking of me (obviously) lol but that sort of infatuation always leads to trouble and confusion. Anyway great poem.
This is amazingly original. I really really enjoyed this stanzas
"My body shakes as i take
Another step into nothing, thinking
Of you across a continent or two
You, lying half naked in the afternoon
Black underwear and a cup of tea, do you
Walk to a window framed winter
And think of me?"
I love the imagery throughout the entire poem, but enjoy it most in those last two stanza.
Keep up the amazing work.
I love the mention of Burt's Bees! I am not complete without it. I've found that most boys don't like the tingles from it though...
I liked the imagery in this. It was very clear what you meant, and that was nice. Too many writers try to be mysterious, and I prefer straight-forward.
A good read!
And thanks for the review. ;)
