Afraid of the Dark

Afraid of the Dark

A Poem by Breaking Free

Remember those faces.

The ones who held you
in high regards.
Remember those faces
the ones who loved you
till no end...
Remember this face?
The one that left you
here in the dark...

Follow me, to the light;
take my hand and one
step at a time
we'll go back
to the ones who love you
till no end. To the faces
that hold you in high regards...

you don't need that face.
It left you here, alone
afraid, lost in the dark,
I know you're scared.
But just take my hand.
I'll get you out of this mess,
just follow my lead.

I won’t leave you
this I promise.
I'll always be right here,
waiting, patiently
for you to come out.
Leave this darkness
it has nothing appealing.

Come to the light.
I can promise you I will
be right here, next to you
till the end,
This darkness cant scare you anymore
we're right here.
I can promise you, that no
one will judge.
But I can't promise you
I won’t love you.

Because that's not me
and that's not you
you loved the face that
left you here
and I love this face that
I’m here to save.

Come to the light
they love you
Conqueror the darkness.
We need you.
Fight for your light.
I love you.
