Limbo

A Poem by Breaking Free

Limbo

Words fly by my head

And phrases soar high in the sky

Your story is something

I can’t get out my head

The things you’ve said

And the things I’ve read

The people we’ve met

And the places we’ve been

The dark corners of our souls

And the light at the end of the tunnel

They try to show

But we stand here in confusion

Of what’s going on around us.

Your cold heartbeat and your constant fear

My separation and my paranoia

All this put together

And we get one messed up landing

Where to go, and what to do

Who to follow and who to choose

When it all comes down to it

What’s it going to be?

Who’s it going to be?

Your constant fight to hide

What you think and what you feel

Your abnormalities and your cold heartbeat

and your constant fear to be normal

My harsh thoughts kept in that room

My fight to go places away from you

My problems, my problems, not yours

Abandonment and paranoia I’ll deal with.

In the end

Its me and Its you.

Never together but

Never apart either

In this limbo forever we’ll remain

Perfect.

Truthful & Brillant

Profound man, I can feel the schism, and the paradox that follows. It honestly mirrors how my own life is going at the moment. How two halves make a perfect circle, yet when alone seem so infinitely different that it's hard to imagine how they could possibly fit. Regret, contradiction, and serene understanding. That's just how your poem made me feel. Good work.
