Without You

Without You

A Poem by KirstenFurry

I might stand at the
Dock and watch the
Sun sink lower into
The ocean
But it wouldn't mean as much
Without you.

I will sit in
The park
Watch the leaves fall
Yellow, red brown
Until it's dark
But it wouldn't mean as much
Without you.

I could shut thte door
And turn the lights out
And listen to all the songs
That the night shouts
But it wouldn't mean as much
Without You

I can smell the cofffee
In the pillow and
Your cologne in the sheets
Rolling around on Sunday mornings because
They're mine to keep
All alone only because
It doesn't mean as much
Without you.

I write because it's the only thing that comes second nature to me, because it's the only thing that has been my constant companion. I'm a young girl of 17 from the Midwest. I mostly write poetry and .. more..
