Heights

A motivating poem on reaching heights and never stopping at any cost and the difficulties present on the journey.

With every ounce of my blood,

With every breath in my lungs,

With every spark in my nerves,

I’ll strive to reach great heights.

However long that it takes,

I’ll go to whatever lengths,

Its gonna make me a monster though,

But I’ll never say its impossible,

For every height I reach each day,

Its gonna cost me something dear

But I’m ready to sacrifice it for the heights.

 

From the bottom to the top do I climb,

Only to keep on climbing as there’s no limit;

Every height has a low to risk falling

But that risk motivates me to keep climbing.

The fight is now for more than just mere 

Survival ‘cause a legacy has to be made 

One way or the other in the midst of heights.

Its either do or die in slumber and regret;

I’ve earned the heights through dedication

But there’ll always be obstacles which’ll be cut

Down like a plane crashing into a volcano.

I’m gonna strive till I die, for there’s no excuse

To deny myself of a destiny that’s so within reach.
