Spider

Spider

A Poem by kjsa
"

There it lay

there it lay

behind the closet door

huddled on the tile floor

my little foe

six eyes

eight legs

with a cotton fiber

at the end

looking up at me

hopeless of his destiny

there I stand

watching with

a sudden empathy

I let him go

not regretting

a single thing

then when

the clock struck twelve

the little bugger

bit my neck

poison running

through my vein

heart stopped still

I took my final breath.

Alrighty then! LOL All good deeds never go unpunished or so I've heard. Enjoyed this muchly. I tend to take a kinder perspective on spiders than most I suppose so I appreciated your empathy in the beginning. lol
