Between White and Black

Between White and Black

A Poem by kjsa
"

I wake beneath these stars of white

I hear the sounds of sobbing

and a lone crow crying

when I open my eyes I see

my body in the ground

yet no one can see me

with my heart still beating

No one can hear me

feel me,or see me

I have passed into another world

a world of gray.

I feel no bliss

nor any pain

for I had lost my faith

many years ago

so I am stuck

in the world of gray

my sins and virtue

all forgotten

When I look up I see so few

but they are laughing and playing

enjoying what seems like heaven

When I look down I see so many

like hoards of ants

screaming and moaning

all in pain

from where I stand

I can see the world

and all its people

like a crappy cinema

Here I stand

next to you

between the shades

of white and black

haunting the gray.
