Is It The Truth?

Is It The Truth?

A Poem by K.S. McClure
"

Are the things we've been told, really true?

"

When the sun goes down,

Where does it really go?

We've all been told that the Earth

is round and the sun is shining on the other side.

But

is it the truth?

There are lots of things in this world

that we have all been told about,

but most have never seen.

Is it really there?

Or

Is it something made up?

We have all been told that

the government is here to help us.

The media is here to entertain us.

But

Are the really here to conform us to their will?

Is the media really just a tool

for the government to use

to make us into the type of people

it so desires?

You decide.

You make some great points... I always wondered just how accurate our history books were or if they were taylor made to make the US look good... remember as kids they told us Columbus discovered America then when you are older you find out a different story... if they felt we were to young to know the truth then why say anything at all... makes you wonder bout everything else.

Wow! I like! Very well put!
I loved the twist from almost medieval to modern day. xD And it asks a very important question we all need to answer.
I'd love to read your stories, but I am totally swamped until Sunday, then I'll read them! Promise.
=D
Kudos!
