History

A Chapter by K.S. McClure
"

A little bit of Ninabi history, completely rewritten and it makes more sense now.

"

There aren't many places left in the world that the greedy have not claimed for themselves. However, there are a few. These mysterious places have remained hidden from most. Very few people, in comparison with Earth's total population, know that these places even exist. These hidden patches of the Earth belong to a nation of people made up of many nations. The Ninabi.

The Ninabi exist in a world of their own, inside the modern world. The people of this nation can claim many heritages. Aside from their heritage in the normal world, they can also claim lineage in the Ninabi Nation. These people are born into a world where "magic" runs in the veins of its chosen people. But like many things, it is not really what it seems, for it isnt really magic. It is just misunderstood.

Some would call these "powers" the next stage in human evolution, others would argue that they are a gift from God. There are still some who would say that the powers are satanic by nature.

The gene pool for this "mutation" is extremely selective however. Not many are born with the combinations needed to claim they are Ninabi. Even if both of the parents are Ninabi, it is not for sure that their children will have the powers granted by the Ninabi. But those born into the Ninabi world, gain a fantastic existence.

The Ninabi exists in five factions, one for each element: Earth, Wind, Fire, Water, and Lightning. Each faction's leader, the Sage, watches over the people and guides them in time of trouble. Though the factions used to be unified, they have been kept apart for many years. But not for the reason you may believe. They do so to protect their people from prying eyes.

You may very well be wondering what makes the Ninabi so special. What is it about them that is so different? Each Ninabi can control the element of the faction they are born into.

This sounds like it'll be a very good book. I like how you left us to think at the end, very nice.
