Loving and Still

When the world stops

and life is on pause,

two hearts adhere-

eliminating any space built up

over the years-

revealing cause.

All at once,

Nature becomes your guide

and your insides-

bringing belonging and more cohesion

where before only separateness 

could reside. 

A wholeness of being emerges-

the sinew of life bound

to yourself, your partner and

every living thing around you-

each breath a new fiber

renews.

Behold this balance-

allow it to create a frame

for which you build

the moments ahead-

intentionally tread,

loving and still.
