UnlockedA Poem by Kristina Yoder
You waited,
you watched. Shadows and substance kept you, locked. Until your presence fell upon me, sometime in February- when glands were glad, and grins were had, you dabbled in bad. I began to recall how lovely you are- your mind and its darkness, a distant star that I kept trying to catch a ride to, only to be left in the blue- not the hue that imbues you. So here I wait, watching for you-
standing still, unlocked. © 2022 Kristina Yoder |
