The Unseen

The Unseen

A Poem by Kristina Yoder

Right there,
on the edge
is where it left you.
Between rocks and water,
a delicate dew.

All that's behind you
is seen, like the tide.
In front of you,
the unseen resides.

Uneasiness settles where you sit-
like a fog, hovering
heavy and dank.

As your unfocused gaze
reaches the edge,
without realizing it,
a point of light comes into sight.

You see, in front,
right there ahead,
something.
Unknown to you,
but not unseen-
what was once nothing,
now a sheen.

Keep looking,
focusing your gaze-
more and more will
be seen in your coming
days.
