AcheA Poem by Kristina Yoder
As dawn approached,
it dawned on me- that I look for you, everyday, like the sunrise. I wait for your light to penetrate my day, no matter how bright, no matter what way. You sneak in when I'm starting my car or walking up stairs, I pretend not to care, but you're there. Do you know how much you occupy my mind? Do you know, that without your light in my day, I'd be blind? A silly poem is all I can conjure to summarize how much I ponder a you and a me involved in more than just frivolity- an absence of space and absence of ache. © 2021 Kristina Yoder |
