Molecular Mirroring

Molecular Mirroring

A Poem by Kristina Yoder

A glance,
a gesture.
Minor movements,
major shifts.

Magnetism originating
from the Earth's core
doesn't compare to
the energy you bore into my floor.

A dance of DNA-
begging, stretching itself
to play.
Unwilling to bend to even the strongest of
wills today.

Should I flip myself to repel?
Or lean in to the pull?
I think I'll just sit here and focus on
this gull.
