Soundless Daybreak

Soundless Daybreak

A Poem by Kristina Yoder

A flood of color
slow and
soundless-
gently awakens
the peaceful sleep
of
the still but
vital
living beings
breathing softly
beneath
the blanketing
sky-
giving hope for
a brand new day-
a reason
why.

This spare piece gives us the picture of an all encompassing, protective nature. It's the second hopeful piece I've read tonight. May it be a trend.
