Be It Now

Be It Now

A Poem by Kristina Yoder

Your voice, it soothes
where there's been burns and many a bruise.
You walk with me
in circles, it seems
I hear you singing and to your
rhythms
I breathe.
But stepping off the path, I
concede-
None of this is
guaranteed.
A slow burn and an
inevitable fall,
you'll let me down when you
hear a call.
Be it fate, be it emptiness
Be it now or when we're closed in the
abyss.
Our hearts will align and
be sealed
with a kiss.
