Time's LayersA Poem by Kristina Yoder
Time's layers do not omit,
do not conspire ancient feelings and desires. They remain, untouched the same, like a frozen window pane. Behold, all that it contains. The heart does not forget. The heart cannot repeal the way you looked at me, how you made me feel. Beyond science. Beyond reason. Your stare unlocking the spark, underground. Awakened and raw, Unfaded and sound. You saw it, you found what was frozen, not dead. In fact, beyond alive and beyond our grasp, in the end. Always beating. Always there. Beneath time's layers, ready to be bared. © 2019 Kristina YoderFeatured Review
