Enveloping ExchangesA Poem by Kristina Yoder
My sturdy, sharpened tool expels my deepest thoughts,
protected and surrounded by tall card stock. A private place where intimacy not only exists, but thrives, grows and persists.
Left to marinate until the next response, if it comes. Every exchange carries the potent potential to be the last, making every scratch of my pencil and your pen a final cast. Enveloping us. Sealing our shared thoughts in a forest far away. Nothing between but the stretches of our imaginations, indulging and gorging upon the impossible, come what may. © 2019 Kristina YoderFeatured Review
