Disjointed and BeautifulA Poem by Kristina YoderDisjointed and beautiful Ruminations compounding fervent explorations of internal, disjointed communication. Thoughts, pop-pop to the surface Each one a kernel exploding into fruition Independent of the one before and after Each a testament to its own volition A driven mind, beautiful and blind to its own divine decline Hasty and quick, getting to the thick of it relief so sweet, it can’t be for keeps My heart sees from afar helplessly watching the dying star; lighting up big, so pretty, so bright But, just like that, it blends in with the night. © 2017 Kristina Yoder |
