She

She

This is a bit different from my other writing, but I hope you still like it

I couldn't believe it was happening.
I knew she had talked about it before, but I never thought she would do it.

I had only know her for about two years and she had always been different.
She almost never spoke, was very introverted and shy.
Her dad had abused her when she was a child, which made her insanely afraid of men, and it didn't seem like that was ever going to change.
Because of how shy and introverted she was, she got picked on a lot.
I was the only one that came to her defence, the only one who wanted to get to know her.
She didn't have anyone but me. She ran away from home when she was fifteen but her parents didn't really care. When I met her she was living with her grandma, but she died shortly after, so it was decided that she would come live with me and my family.

My parents were very nice about all of this. Fed her and dressed her, and treated her like she was their own daughter. She started talking more, became less shy and you could see her slowly changing. The kids at school stopped picking on her, which made me happy.
I think they were finally seeing what I had always seen, how sweet and beautiful she was.
Everything seemed to be going well until he started noticing her.
He was the most popular guy in school. Smart, athletic, good looking, the whole package.
He started talking to her more, gave her flowers and asked her out.
She hesitated at first, but in the end she said yes.
He treated her well, gave her all of his attention and they seemed generally happy.
Or that is what I thought.
The change began slowly. First it was excuses about being to busy to see her, then he stopped calling or texting, and in the end the only times she heard from him was if he needed something.
What worried me the most is that she let him treat her that way and still did everything he wanted her to do.

One night he called and asked her to go to a party at his friends house with him. I was very skeptical about it, but she said yes anyway. So he came and picked her up.
That night everything changed, that night ruined everything.
I could see it when she came home, it was like she was someplace else.
I asked her if she was alright, if anything had happened. But she wouldn't answer me.
After that she met him and his friends every night, she either didn't come home or came home really late and when she came home she was always really out of it.
This continued for months, until one day the door to my room opened, she came in sat on my bed and started crying. I knew it had something to do with him, but didn't say anything and just let her cry. That day she told me everything.
How they got her to try drugs, and when she was all drugged up, they would each have sex with her. And that had happened every time she went over there. I was in shock, this had been going on for month and I didn't know. I couldn't do anything, I didn't know what to say. She then told me that he had called her earlier and asked her to come hang out, but she said no. This time she said no, she didn't want to do this anymore.
This is not how she wanted to live her life.
He went crazy, called her every bad name he could think of, she yelled at him that it was over and hung up. She couldn't stop crying and I could see how hopeless she felt.

After this things seemed to be getting better. She went to rehab and group meetings and she seemed to be feeling better. Everything was suppose to be better, she was working so hard. Then he showed up again. He came to our house when I wasn't home.
She tried calling for help but he covered her mouth.
He dragged her into his car and drove to his friends house where they were waiting for him. They tied her to a chair, while yelling at her that she could not just stop seeing him like that. She was his forever. Then the rage took over him and he started hitting her, again and again and again.
After a little while his friends joined in. When they saw that she was about to loose consciousness they put her on the floor and started raping her.
After a while they started getting bored, put her clothes on, put her in the car and drive off. They found a remote place after having driven for about 15 minutes and dumped her there. She was numb after all the beating but her consciousness was coming back.
Her mind was blank, there was nothing, she gave up on everything.

She never came home again. Her body was found two days later.
In her pocket they found a letter addressed to me. In it she wrote about what had happened and how she couldn't do it anymore. That she was sorry..

I couldn't believe it was happening.
I knew she had talked about it before, but I never thought she would do it.

I have always been told that I am the creative type, which I honestly agree with. I have my own writing style and sometimes people don't like it, but that's fine with me. All I'm doing here is just po.. more..
