Trapped

Trapped

A Poem by Kristen Grace

Dying never seemed so great
But living was not better
Her sorrowful heart
Could not see
The light shining around her

Everything seemed so dark
these small spaces haunt her
Each week a new place to stay
With others who felt like her

All alone but surrounded
Her wrists begin to call her
Thinking about all the pain
The scars fading pink in color

One day she will escape
Learn to fly away
One day she will find her place
Away from all this rain

But until that day she will stay
Confined in many places
Wishing for another way
To hide her many faces.
