Wallflower

Wallflower

A Poem by kristen0928

Wallflower wallflower
Can you see
The darkness swirling,
Exuding from inside
my every pore

Can you see my smile fray
And fade into a frown
Everytime somebody else
turns around

Wallflower wallflower
Can you hear
The tweak in my voice
Tethered to the edge
Coated with an ache
Of everything I said

Can you see my mask
Slip off
If only for a moment
And hold a mirror
To my soul
A candle to light up
Every crack and crevice
Buried neatly from above

About
I love writing and reading. I have trouble sleeping. I think too much and love too deep. I have too many feelings and ponderings about life, and write therapeutically (as I'm sure most people do) more..

Writing
Running Running
